Piano Tuition Rates


PRIVATE LESSONS: Private lesson rates vary, depending on the experience level of the teacher. Every private lesson student will also participate in a Saturday theory and musicianship class, free of charge with the price of tuition. Tuition may be paid in monthly installments, and each semester includes fourteen weeks of lessons. A sibling discount is available.

LEVEL I: Undergraduate (Bachelors) students currently undergoing pedagogy training (pedagogy training is one year):

  • 30 minute lessons: TBA Not available for 2015-16 school year
  • 45 minute lessons: TBA
  • 60 minute lessons: TBA

LEVEL II: Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed pedagogy training and any student holding NCTM (National Certified Teacher of Music accredited by Music Teachers National Association) status, regardless of year:

  • 30 minute lessons: $260/semester
  • 45 minute lessons: $388/semester
  • 60 minute lessons: $518/semester

LEVEL III: Master teachers, usually University of Idaho faculty:

  • 30 minute lessons: $399/semester
  • 45 minute lessons: $599/semester
  • 60 minute lessons: $799/semester
